#80 - 61

80. TV Girl
"If You Want It"
Who says love stories can't be sweet if alcohol is the only reason they took place. In evolutionary terms, booze is the new fire.

79. Gayngs
"The Guady Side of Town"
Add this to your playlist for the slow-motion walks home the morning after you crashed at a friend's place.

78. Cee-Lo
"Fuck You"
Despite the Wired 96ness, this is good fun. "I guess she's an X-box/And I'm more of an Atari."

77. Lo-Fi-Fnk
"Marchin' In"
Really warm and clear with a nice climax to send you off to the beach.

76. Male Bonding
"Year's Not Long"
This is about as close as I usually get to punk, apart from the odd NOFX or Dropkick Murphys binge with Rob. When they soften up the vocals it doesn't hurt my delicate brain.

75. The Sadies
"Cut Corners"
In response to Sam's challenge to pick my favourite from the stellar Dark Circles album, I'm going with this. Opening riff = surf's up.

74. Rihanna
"Only Girl (In the World)"
The worst part about this song is hearing it in public near a pack of "woo girls." It doesn't necessarily need Rihanna; in fact, the rest of the track is the best part.

73. Deerhunter
"Helicopter"
I tend to be underwhelmed by their albums, but the foggy electric organ, underwater drums and choppy vocal samples at the end are creatively stoney.

72. Freddie Gibbs
"National Anthem"
Freddie's got quite the tempo on his flow, considering the blunted Madlib-ish beat. It's nice.

71. Robert Plant
"Angel Dance"
That little bit of banjo plucking leading into the chorus sticks. Plus, have you seen him lately? He looks like a lion!

70. The Knife
"Colouring of Pigeons"
Spooky 10-minute epic to scare away trick-or-treaters.

69. Duck Sauce
"Barbra Streisand"
Count your fist pumps candy kids. You can stop when you hit 1000.

68. Junip
"Rope and Summit"
Jose Gonzalez for whatever you need him for. I recommend falling asleep.

67. Baths
"Hall"
The heel dragging of Lemon Jelly meets the optimism of Delorean. Something for when things are going your way.

66. David Guetta feat.   Kelly Rowland
"When Love Takes Over"
Another use of the Clocks or Muse, or whatever, piano riff; I think executed to perfection. This was a Coachella campsite anthem.

65. Best Coast
"Crazy For You"
Driving through Southern California in April, when it's still snowing back home, really makes the warm fuzziness sound better.

64. Killa Kyleon
"Swang Real Wide"
See comments for Country Shit. I would have guessed David Banner in 2003.

63. Jamie Woon
Night air has the strangest flavour....

62. Vampire Weekend
I like a good nonsense chorus, and this made me feel better on the first snowy day of they year at Browsers.

61. The Juan MacLean
Yeah it does.
